Abstract

In June 2022, Jawa Barat Composite CPI covering 7 municipalities, namely Bogor Municipality, Sukabumi Municipality, Bandung Municipality, Cirebon Municipality, Bekasi Municipality, Depok Municipality, and Tasikmalaya Municipality experienced an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 111.63 in May 2022 to 112 .27 in June 2022; thus inflation of 0.57 percent occurred.
The inflation rate for the calendar year "year to date" (January 2022 - June 2022) was 3.43 percent and the inflation rate from year to year "year on year" (June 2022 to June 2021) was recorded at 4.41 percent.
Of the 11 (eleven) expenditure groups, which experienced inflation, namely the Food, Beverage & Tobacco Group of 1.91 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, & Home Fuel group by 0.16 percent; Household Equipment, Equipment & Routine Maintenance group by 0.40 percent; Health group by 0.03 percent; Recreation, Sports & Culture group by 0.15 percent; Food & Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group by 0.21 percent; and the Personal Care & Other Services Group by 0.27 percent. As for those experiencing deflation, namely the Clothing & Footwear Group by 0.04 percent; and Transportation Group by 0.02 percent. While the Information, Communication & Financial Services Group; and the Education Group did not change.
Of the seven CPI monitored municipalities in Jawa Barat in June 2022, all of them experienced inflation, namely Bogor City at 0.75 percent; Sukabumi Municipality by 0.58 percent; Bandung Municipality by 0.74 percent; Cirebon Municipality by 0.48 percent; Bekasi Municipality by 0.49 percent; Depok Municipality by 0.53 percent; and Tasikmalaya Municipality by 0.41 percent.
