Abstract

Total labour force in August 2021 was 24.74 million people, an increase of 0.53 million people compared to August 2020. In line with the increase in the number of the workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased to 64.95 percent.
August 2021, Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 9.82 percent, down 0.64 percentage point compared to August 2020.
The working population is 22.31 million people, an increase of 0.63 million people from August 2020. The largest contribution increase from the absorption of the working population occurred in the Manufacturing Industry (0.81 percentage point). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the biggest decline in contribution was the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (1.21 percentage points).
