Meeting to Evaluate the Results of Observations of Rice and Corn Harvest Areas using the KSA Method

BPS Kabupaten Bandung Barat (KBB) held another meeting to evaluate the results of the data collection on the size of harvest areas using the Area Sample Framework (KSA) method on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The meeting, which was held online, was attended by Associate Statistician, Ahmad Luqman, S.P, ME, and Expert and Skilled Statisticians of BPS KBB as well as statistical partners.

The meeting aimed to evaluate the achievements of the field implementation of harvest area data collection using the ASF method. In general, the field implementation has been in accordance with the predetermined work targets, namely 76 segments of paddy rice and 56 segments of corn. However, there are still findings of errors in uploading photos of field observations. This finding does not interfere with the data collection results, it just has to be uploaded again immediately. 

Through this evaluation meeting, it is expected that the implementation of the observation of the harvest area of paddy rice and corn through the ASF method will be better and more accurate. The output of the results of this activity will be used for the calculation of rice and corn production. These two commodities are widely consumed by the community.
